peta Grace from seen studio co - family portrait shoot
Our first studio hire! Peta Grace is a photographer based down the road in Strathalbyn who also works from our city-based studio Cog Creative Space. She hired the Watermark space for a family shoot with a Macclesfield-based mum & bub.
Peta arrived with a van full of equipment and props for her studio setup. She used a Lastolite Hilite with a Lastolite Voile to emulate a large window, and brought a few props to style the shoot with lovely natural tones.
This simple 2-light setup made the shoot very simple to set up and pack down. Using our Lastolite Mega Umbrella with diffuser, Peta was able to create a large soft light that meant her subjects could move around easily without the exposure changing during the shoot. Using flash meant the ambient light in the space wasn’t a factor in her exposures. The shoot went so well thanks to a very chilled-out bub who loved all the things around the space to look at. We loved hosting Seen Studio Co at watermark crossing and look forward to more shoots together down the track!
